Granular layers. Layers treated with lime and cement. Concrete. TEACHING UNIT 3. BITUMINOUS MIXTURES AND SURFACE TREATMENTS Bituminous mixtures: classification and characteristics. Design, testing, and characterization of bituminous mixtures. Production and placement of hot bituminous mixtures. Cold bituminous mixtures and surface treatments. Functional and structural properties—inspections. TEACHING UNIT 4. NEW PAVING TECHNOLOGIES Rubber-modified mixtures. Semi-hot and warm mixtures. Ultra-thin mixtures. SMA. Photocatalytic pavements.
