PRESENTATION

The Course Excavation, Blasting, and Earthwork It is an opportunity to delve into the complex world of civil and mining engineering. In the face of a constantly evolving market, it will provide the essential foundations for tackling various tasks related to the excavation and soil handling. Through four structured learning modules, participants will learn to identify sites suitable for excavation and to properly select the machinery and relevant teams, as well as plan and design blasting operations efficient, whether in open-pit or tunnel operations. While not intended to be an advanced training course, this course lays the groundwork for understanding key procedures and technical criteria in these activities, which is vital for work safely and effective in the industry. The training focuses on providing a balanced mix of practical and theoretical knowledge, emphasizing the importance of making informed decisions in projects involving earthwork.

Objectives

  • Identify the different sites suitable for excavation and analyze the various factors to consider in an excavation.

  • Getting to know the different machinery and equipment existing earthwork practices to select the most appropriate methods for a specific excavation problem.

  • Learn about the Basics of Excavation using blasting techniques and planning the design of blasting operations for outdoor sites and tunnels.
