PRESENTATION

Our course on Supporting and Promoting Self-Employment provides an overview of the corporate social responsibility, as well as learning what corporate social responsibility is—and what it isn't. In addition, you'll learn about the concept of entrepreneurial culture, the psychosocial profile of the person entrepreneurial, business ideas, new sources of employment, the organizations and institutions information and guidance for defining business idea, the procedures for establishing a business, among others.

Objectives

  • Understand the basics of entrepreneurial culture.

  • Define the characteristics of entrepreneurial behavior.

  • Identify the main business ideas.

  • Understand the administrative procedures for starting a business.

  • Learn how to resolve conflicts and negotiate successfully.

TEACHING UNIT 1. THE ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT 1. The Concept of Entrepreneurial Culture: Basic Concepts and Aspects 2. The Psychosocial Profile of the Entrepreneur: TEACHING UNIT 2. THE BUSINESS IDEA 1. The business idea: education, experience, personal interests, family environment, business opportunities, market needs, and ideas imported from other places 2. Sources of ideas TEACHING UNIT 3. BUSINESS PLAN 1. Process for creating a business plan. 2. Conflict resolution and negotiation TEACHING UNIT 4. PROCEDURES FOR ESTABLISHING A BUSINESS 1. Legal structures: types (self-employed, for-profit corporations, non-profit corporations, nonprofit organizations), criteria for selection (number of partners, financial contribution, liability, tax regime, incorporation costs); franchising. 2. Self-employment: advantages and disadvantages. 3. Starting a self-employed business: procedures for incorporation and launch; agencies to contact (Tax Office, MTIN, municipal governments, one-stop business service; organizations that provide information and advice on the procedures). 4.
