PRESENTATION

Training activities in Portuguese A1 It prepares you to acquire the knowledge necessary to communicate in Portuguese, enabling you to understand and use everyday expressions very common expressions, as well as simple phrases designed to meet immediate needs. In addition, you will be able to introduce oneself and others, ask for and provide basic personal information about their address, their belongings, and the people they know, as well as engage in simple conversation as long as the other person speaks slowly and with is transparent and willing to cooperate.

TEACHING UNIT 1. LEXICAL-SEMANTIC CONTENT

  1. Basic Vocabulary
  2. Formation of very common words: passatempo, automobile, sunflower
  3. Most common affixes: reler, aterrar, infelizmente, extraordinário.
  4. Introduction to antonyms and words with similar meanings: right/left, black/white, tall/short.
  5. Most common false friends: esquisito, escritório, barata, brinco,
  6. Abbreviations for commonly used words: ENT/otolaryngologist, movie/cinema, car/automobile, subway/metro.
  7. Verbs with very commonly used particles: andar a, haver de, ter de
  8. Introduction to some basic structures: asking a question, giving an answer, pausing.

TEACHING UNIT 3. SPELLING CONTENT

  1. The alphabet. Spelling (a, b, c, d …). New letters of the alphabet: k, w, and y.
  2. Graphical representation of phonemes and sounds /a/, /ɛ/, /ɔ/, /ɲ/, /ʃ/, …:
  3. Capitalization of proper nouns referring to people (José), places (Elvas, Atlantic Ocean), and other terms: days of the week (quinta-feira), months (janeiro), nationalities (French), and languages (Spanish).
  4. New Spelling Agreement (tio-avô, girassol, leem).
  5. Basic use of punctuation marks: period, colon, comma, question mark, exclamation point, apostrophe, and hyphen.
  6. Contractions.
