TEACHING UNIT 1. BASIC ADVERTISING LAWS IN SPAIN

  1. The General Advertising Law, Law 34/1988, of November 11, LGP.
  2. Directive 2006/114/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of December 12, 2006, on misleading and comparative advertising.
  3. Law 3/1991, of January 10, on Unfair Competition (LCD).
  4. Law 7/2010, of March 31, General Law on Audiovisual Communication (LGCA).
  5. Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, dated November 16, approving the consolidated text of the General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users

TEACHING UNIT 2. LEGISLATION GOVERNING ADVERTISING

  1. Organic Law 1/1982, of May 5, on the civil protection of the right to honor, personal and family privacy, and one’s own image.
  2. Royal Legislative Decree 1/1996, dated April 12, approving the consolidated text of the Intellectual Property Law.
  3. Law 17/2001, of December 7, on Trademarks.

TEACHING UNIT 3. DATA PROTECTION

  1. REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation)
  2. Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the Protection of Personal Data (in force in those articles that do not conflict with the GDPR) and Royal Decree 1720/2007, of December 21, which approves the implementing regulations for Organic Law 15/1999 (in force to the extent that its provisions do not conflict with the GDPR).
