This course in Elder Care: Comprehensive Care for the Elderly – Professional Caregiver offers a specialized training in geriatrics, a field that is becoming increasingly important due to the growth in the elderly population. The course aims to improve the quality of life for older adults, both in its home as in the community, considering the patient's age, his functional capacity and the family and community structure in which it is integrated.

Objectives

– To reduce morbidity and mortality among older adults and maintain good functional capacity, recognizing this as an indicator of well-being and health and as the indicator with the greatest predictive value regarding the need for assistance.

-To make it as easy as possible for people to age in their own homes or in an environment where they feel most comfortable, with an emphasis on promoting rehabilitation programs that address all aspects aimed at minimizing physical, mental, or sensory limitations in older adults that contribute to their dependence.
