In the field of arts and crafts, artisanal pottery is an art form that involves creating unique, traditional pieces using time-honored techniques. To carry out this process of in an effective and satisfactory manner, It is essential to understand and master a number of key elements, such as part identification techniques.

These techniques involve identifying and selecting shapes, appropriate dimensions and materials for each piece of handmade pottery. Here, «forms» refers to the configuration and design of the piece, while «dimensions» refers to size and proportions. The emergence and evolution of ceramics throughout history: – Functions, forms, techniques, and materials. Characteristics and evolution of artistic styles related to artisanal pottery. – The emergence of pottery in early human cultures. – Pottery in antiquity. The Americas, Asia, and the West. – Medieval pottery in the West and Asia. – Pottery from the 15th to the 19th century. – The 20th century and contemporary pottery. New values of folk ceramics today.
