PRESENTATION

This course Elderly Care: Musculoskeletal System offers a specialized training in this subject. Through this training activity, the goal is to provide the health care workers specific knowledge on the nursing needs for the care of the elderly with musculoskeletal problems, with the goal of developing a high-quality professional practice tailored to this group.

Objectives

– Understand the key aspects of anatomy and physiology as they apply to nursing assessment.

– Describe the various changes that occur as we age.

– Assess aspects of nursing related to the musculoskeletal system.

– Identify the various rheumatic diseases primarily affecting the joints, metabolic bone diseases, and endocrine diseases affecting the bones.

– Know how to apply rehabilitation techniques and procedures for the elderly.
