PRESENTATION

A module designed to help students understand the BIM methodology and the advantages it offers over the traditional methodology, as well as the challenges the industry has faced in its digital transformation. It also analyzes how suppliers, organizations, and institutions such as buildingSMART, software vendors, and ISO promote the BIM Implementation in the AEC Sector.

Objectives

  • Understanding the Importance of BIM in the Digital Transformation of the Construction Industry.

  • Identify the benefits of using BIM to improve the efficiency and collaboration on projects.

  • Analyze the differences between BIM and OpenBIM to achieve a better integration into projects.

  • Understanding Current Regulations which regulates the use of BIM and OpenBIM in construction projects.

  • Acquire the skills to interpret BIM models in digital platforms.

  • Assess the Impact of BIM in the project management and construction processes.

  • Develop strategies for effectively implementing BIM in digital environments.
