Training Beyond the Interface: Discovering User-Centered Design is based on the growing need for professionals and the Demand for user experiences on websites and apps. This proposal aims to close the gap between theory and practice, equipping students with creative skills and helping them tackle challenges in Best practices in user-centered design and web usability gaining a comprehensive understanding of the processes, techniques, and tools useful for designing user-centered experiences. In addition, it prepares students to tackle projects with a professional, user-centered perspective, enhancing their ability to take on leadership roles such as UX/UI designers, web usability specialists, and user experience consultants.

Objectives

  • Understanding the principles of the user experience (UX).

  • Explore the user-centered design and its practical applications.

  • Master the basics of web usability and its processes.

  • Identify various ways to approach the usability in design.

  • Evaluating a Website's Usability using Nielsen's 10 heuristic principles.
