PRESENTATION

The pharmacology is a discipline that deals with drug research, that is, substances used for therapeutic purposes to prevent, alleviate, or cure diseases. Pharmacology is a science that has developed in parallel with the medicine, since the needs of physicians have been the driving force behind its advancement. Therefore, the goal of this training is to learn about the basic principles pharmacology, including an understanding of the concepts of drugs and mechanisms of action, as well as the processes of release, absorption, and distribution, their metabolism and excretion. The course will also take an in-depth look at adverse drug reactions, drug interactions, and drug overdose. In addition, it will will analyze pharmacology applied to the various systems and organs of the human body.

  • Analyze biopharmaceutical and pharmacokinetic processes.

  • Evaluate forms and routes of medication administration.

  • Apply concepts of dosing and the dose-response relationship.

  • Recognizing adverse reactions and how to manage them.
