PRESENTATION

The Photovoltaic Solar Energy Course provides you with the essential skills to enter a booming sector with growing job demand by giving you an in-depth understanding of solar photovoltaics. As the world moves toward more sustainable energy sources, Knowledge of solar photovoltaic technologies is essential. You will learn about solar resources, the photovoltaic effect, and various PV technologies, including crystalline silicon and thin-film panels. In addition, you will master the production of electrical energy in photovoltaic plants using tools such as the PVSYST software, which will enable you to perform accurate energy simulations. Gaining this knowledge will not only open doors to employment, but will also position you as a key player in the transition to a cleaner and more responsible energy future. With a flexible and accessible approach, this course is ideal for those looking to specialize in renewable energy while enjoying the convenience of online learning.

Objectives

  • Knowledge of the fundamental physics of photovoltaic solar energy and the technique for measuring a site's solar resource.

  • Study and analysis of solar resources.

  • Analysis of Photovoltaic Solar Technology (crystalline silicon, thin-film, concentration technology, etc.).

  • Apply computational simulation using the PVsyst program for calculating electrical energy and for the design and sizing of photovoltaic solar power plants.

  • Dimensioning of photovoltaic solar power plants.

  • Understand the main civil engineering infrastructure required for the construction of a photovoltaic solar power plant, as well as the detailed analysis of the low- and medium-voltage electrical installations and the medium- and high-voltage electrical substation and the evacuation power line.
