Phia, Educa PHAROS's AI: Technical Training Based on Real-World Criteria
Educa PHAROS Team

Any training platform these days will talk to you about artificial intelligence. Few will explain what that AI actually does when a maintenance technician asks about a specific procedure, an occupational safety and health manager needs to review regulations before an audit, or a construction engineer studies between shifts and can’t afford to waste time on answers that don’t apply to their situation.
That’s where the real test lies: whether an AI provides real value or is just listed on the product page. And that’s the area where Phia, the Educa PHAROS assistant, has been working since its launch, now with a refreshed look that's more integrated into the platform.

Technical training, not general training

A chatbot connected to an e-learning platform can answer questions. What it cannot do—unless it is designed to do so—is understand that a student’s question about «the lockout-tagout procedure» refers specifically to the content of Unit 4 of their industrial safety course, and not to a generic definition found online.
Phia does. Each answer is contextualized within the course, the unit, and the exact concept the professional is studying at that moment. For industries where training content is directly linked to regulations, processes, and technical specifications, that difference is not just a nuance: That's what sets a useful tool apart from one that's merely an accessory.

From Question to Resource, Seamlessly

Mentoring is just the starting point. When a professional needs to go beyond a one-time answer, Phia generates content based on the course material itself:

  • Summaries and glossaries containing the exact technical terminology used in that unit.
  • Context diagrams that visually organize processes or complex regulations.
  • Podcasts based on the syllabus, designed for those who also learn off-screen—while traveling to a construction site, for example.

And to ensure that the knowledge has been retained—not just that the module has been completed—Phia offers seven interactive assessment formats: From multiple-choice questions to matching, sequencing, grouping, and short-answer exercises. Assessments generated from the actual course content that identify specific knowledge gaps before they lead to mistakes in real-world situations.

Same essence, refreshed design

Phia unveils a new design: a cleaner interface that's better integrated into the platform, Designed to make interaction even more natural within each course. What remains the same is what it offers on the inside: 24/7 tutoring, adaptive study tools, interactive assessments, and direct access to learning objectives, practical applications, and the reading list for each unit.

What Really Sets a Training Provider Apart

The corporate training sector has long been talking about artificial intelligence as if it were a distinguishing feature in and of itself. It isn’t. What sets it apart is how it’s used: whether it serves to answer general questions or to support a technical professional at the exact moment they need to understand a regulation, complete a process, or prepare for a real assessment.

At Educa PHAROS, we didn't build Phia just to add another feature to our catalog. We built it because the technical teams that make up our client base cannot afford to use AI that doesn't understand what they're studying.
