You will delve into the design and construction of infrastructure, including the comprehensive management of railway projects, intermodality, and the technical aspects of platforms, tunnels, bridges, and viaducts. You will analyze the superstructure, from track layout and materials to installation and operational facilities, such as terminals. In addition, you will explore energy subsystems, which are crucial for the operability and sustainability of rail transportation systems. You will prepare to lead the modernization of rail lines and the development of new infrastructure, integrating current regulations and technological innovations. This master’s program will equip you with a global perspective and advanced tools to make strategic decisions in railway engineering and project management, addressing the technical and managerial complexities that define the future of the railway sector.

Objectives

• Oversee the comprehensive management of initiatives in the field of rail transportation, from planning through implementation, taking into account legal, financial, and environmental constraints. • Design strategies for the modernization and construction of new lines, covering infrastructure, superstructure, and power subsystems. • Implement advanced technical solutions in the design of platforms, tunnels, bridges, and viaducts for complex rail transportation infrastructure. • Manage the selection of materials and track installation, optimizing the alignment and facilities for efficient railway operations. • Evaluate the impact of technological and regulatory innovations on the life cycle of rail transportation systems, ensuring their sustainability and safety. • Make strategic decisions regarding financing and supplier relationships for large-scale initiatives in the rail sector. • Integrate a comprehensive vision of intermodal transportation into the development of rail infrastructure and terminals. • Lead multidisciplinary teams in the planning and execution of rail infrastructure projects, including conventional, high-speed, and commuter rail lines.
